Centro Cultural Chapultepec

The city of Guadalajara has become an important cultural and economic hub in Mexico. This competition aimed to obtain a proposal for a Cultural Center in a neighborhood where cultural events and urban culture is increasing rapidly. For our proposal we reflected on the spatial integration of outdoor space versus built environment, and considered the elements present in strategic urban environments. We created a cantilevered yet transluscent building that has the potential of holding events, exhibitions and urban life. The geometry of this project is a direct result of day lighting analysis on its context.
